Supply & fit of beautiful timber-alternative sash windows, casements & doors.
We’ve been restoring for many years now, and still love fitting windows. Matched carefully to the age of your property they’ll make a huge difference to the looks - and it’s relatively easy to do.
The replacement sash & casements we specify for period homes are manufactured here in the UK by Quickslide, based in West Yorkshire.
These ‘timber-look’ pvc units are beautifully designed - with lots of period detail that makes them look the part.
A cottage in Walton, nr Lutterworth - bay window, restored with our pvc Victorian replica sash windows.
The images here show a few recent installations; above - a bay where we’ve retained the original framing, slotting new units into the space where the old sashes sat within the sash box, and below ; a casement with three windows set into a single frame finished off with a monkey tail handle, a bay plus arched sash windows on the front bedroom above, and a bathroom sash restoration where we’ve added a new stub cill & architrave section to finish off the look.
I also love this job - a property in Nuneaton, Warwickshire - where we’d stripped out old 1980s dark brown hinged units and replaced them with new pvc sashes finished in a mid brown farrow and ball colour.
For this property we finished the job inside with stylish Victorian replica architrave mouldings to give everything a touch of elegance.
ELEGANT
The windows are beautifully proportioned to look just like Edwardian or Victorian originals, and available in some great period colours.
PRACTICAL
Using the latest advances in technology - eg. argon filled low e glass - there are even options available that significantly reduce road noise.
If you still have original windows - but want to upgrade - these slimline replacement units can be be fitted snugly inside the existing sashbox.
It looks better this way - and SAVES YOU MONEY.

Ps. Most houses have 10 or more windows, so I get that it’s an ‘ouch’ £ wise to commit to an upgrade - but our quotes are often way less than regular double glazing companies.
Keep in mind it’s the little details that that make a big difference too; for example, we’ll spend much longer than any regular fitters paying attention to the sight lines - this often means applying extra bespoke decorative cloaking trims and architrave inside and out to give the finished window a true period look.
Think of it like a restoration - using modern products.
